Writing Poetry for Fun

Many people have built up emotions within, and rarely understand the proper way to express these emotions. For this reason they either let it build up until it becomes to much to bear and something bad happens, or they learn how to deal with it properly. One positive way that you can deal with emotions properly, is via writing. Surely their are other mediums such as song and dance, but writing can be very therapeutic, and helpful.

When you are writing your poetry it is important to determine which style you think fits your personality the best. Iambic Pentameter Poems are one of the few types that carry a great degree in difficulty while writing and thus it is recommended that you say away until you have perfected your style. For those just starting out, the rhyming style of writing might prove to be the easiest and most useful. Their are perhaps hundreds if not thousands of different types of poetry that can be written, so what it comes down to is not so much the style, but the content.

When you first begin writing its important that you do so with a clear as head as possible, to ensure proper writing technique. From there it should flow rather easily, as you are simply trying to express feelings and emotions which are weighing heavily upon you. Once you have finished writing your piece, you can either read aloud, share with others, or in the likeness of many great hip hop artists, turn it into music. More often times than not you will find that many people are dealing with the same thing you are and can relate just as well. Whether your using iambic pentameter allegory, simlie or any other type of poetry, just be sure that what you are writing is come from the heart.
