1. Hypo-caloric diets.

2. Associated diets

4. Macrobiotic diets
These are diets that have a spiritually based approach to life, completely different from the current quasi-Western approach. They are recommended and can be followed only with extreme caution.

5. “Drastic” diets
These are diets that require more “sacrifices” and are based on a reduced intake of calories and in some cases, allow consumption of only 1-2 foods. They can only be followed under medical supervision.

b) the fruit and milk diet
c) the grapefruit diet
d) the astronaut diet
6. Depurative diets
The purpose of these diets is to help the body eliminate toxins and to regenerate, helping it, of course, to lose weight. They are especially recommended by herbalist doctors. The optimal times to follow them are spring and autumn.

b) the grape diet
