Prior to Second World War, little was known about Koh Chang. It was the battleground between the Thai and French Navy in 1941. The only thing that made Koh Chang eminent was the presence of pirates on its sea. Koh chang is now well known all over the world as a tourist attraction site.
Koh Chang Island is the second largest Island in Thailand. It resembles an elephant that is sleeping and thus the name Koh Chang. The terrain of Koh Chang is mainly mountainous with many streams. This characteristic topography is greatly to be celebrated about because it gives rise to, magnificent waterfalls. Other sceneries found on Koh Chang are jagged mountains, long sandy beaches, rich marine life, clear blur Marne waters and rich rain forest wildlife.

The weather is favorable through out the year with rainy seasons between May and October, the dry season between November and February and summer between March and April. Due to this configuration of seasons there are clothing’s that are said to ensure one is comfortable. These are light clothing made of fibres during summer and pullovers for the cold spell.
