Many new owners of plasma televisions opt to mount the units on the wall after purchasing. The television saves space and doesn’t require a stand this way. In areas with limited space, such as small apartments, this can be useful. It’s extremely easy to hang the devices using plasma TV mounts.
First, determine in what location you want the plasma TV to go. To assure that it will comfortably fit on the wall, measure the television carefully. Choosing a location on the wall that has a stud will also be helpful.
To affix the television set to the wall you’ll need the proper mounting kit. The kits range in price but they are usually no more than a hundred dollars. Since televisions require different mounts, be sure you purchase the kit that fits your plasma TV. If you need help, ask a sales associate at the store you bought the TV from.
Drill the television’s plasma mount and wire holes into the drywall after you decide on it’s location on the wall. Make sure that the mount’s holes are spaced apart enough. Special cable brackets can be purchased to route them if you don’t want to drill any extra holes for the wires.
Securing the mounts to the chosen wall is next. Since your new expensive television will be held up by this device, make sure everything is nice and tight. Hoist up the television to the mount with help from someone else. One person can bolt the TV to the brackets while the other holds up the TV.
Now all that’s left is to relax and enjoy the new TV. You’ve saved some valuable space and created a picture with great quality by mounting the TV to the wall. And with the job all done, it’s now time to lie back and enjoy all the hard work.
